Notes:

SAILING CLUB STARTED BEFORE THE FIRST DOORS OPEN AT UCI:

Before the new university’s first day of instruction in October of 1965, students elected three special committees, one to draft a constitution, two - to develop extra-curricular organizations and third an honor code.* It was out of the development of the extra-curricular activities that the sailing club was born.

THE UCI SAILING TEAM REPRESENTED UCI IN IT’S FIRST YEAR
